greendawn i think you may have got it wrong. What spirit did they have in the beginning? What spirit have they lost? Maybe there was love at first but that dissapeared after Russell, but as regard God's spirit or holy spirit i dont think so.... But if your talking about spirit of diception yes they have lost the knack.

yes bitter in that you have painted everyone who is not a believer as basically evil and been taken in as a mug for believing it. Bitter in that you have spent the best part of your life missing out on living a normal life'. Bitter in that you taught others a lie and misled them and to who you cant say sorry because they wont speak to you no more. mmmmh i say bitter....blackadder

no not really, just ill be sad the effect it would have in some who are emotionally unstable. I know we look forward to its downfall like communist russia but the people who have been duped by the borg will need some help. The borg will self implode like a distant star which it deserves, and just like the titanic the music of the FDS will continue to play to convince people there is hope in its survival. Now that is sad but i wont be crying.. Blackadder

by notmyself ini'm d/f for about 2 years and my dad ( an elder ) hasn't spoke with me since, my mom sometimes talk to me , but i always have to call her , just to see how's she's doing, and guess what, when she answer her phone is : oh, i was preeching!!!.

I wouldn't say brainwashed more like conditioned. To say they are brainwashed seems to obsolve them from any responsability for there actions. Where you are not allowed to use free thinking or independant thinking, where you rely on most of your info from a currupt scource you can still use your power of reason or conscience. But with the org that is not possible because your reason and conscience has been conditioned from the start. No not brainwashed but spun dried with a bit of conditioner blackadder

personal dating services are not what it says on the tin because what you get is the opposite of what you expected. So if you want what is right then lie just as we have learnt to with a straight face by the borganization If you want to meet someone then get off your computer and get out there. Go dancing go clubbing go to sports clubs and if desperate go to a convention. lol blackadder

what I HATED THE MOST was the c/o cisits. In the elders meeting the c/o would berate us and say what useless elders we were and we had to do more and more and spend less time playing video games and then he would get on the platform and in his talk to the cong would say what fine elders we had, an example to the flock worthy of imitation. It was so embarrasing I use to hide from the brothers after the meeting.

Hapgood you took the words right out of my mouth. I felt exactly the way you felt, worthless walking around with a bad conscience for not keeping up even though I had not done anything wrong I missed one month of field service because I was ill and instead of encouragement I was meant to feel bad. Im happier now and not terrified of dying like I was before. This forum has brought me some peace, thanks girls and guys

Me and the wife stopped attending meetings 18 months ago suddenly. Before that we started missing some meetings and then not reporting some months and then came to a decision that what we had learnt was not true. So you can say we did a bit of fading. we had one visit from an elder who was suposed to be a friend and when my wife questioned him about the UN involvement and the peodophile protection programme the borg had running he did not want to talk to us again and had warned others to avoid us. That was 18 months ago and since then not one visit or phone call and life has been great ever since. Just to think I had spent 25 years of my life in a spiritual stupor, pioneered for 13 of those years and an elder for 8 years. "Crisis of Conscience" by Franz changed my life for the good and now I feel free. now I have to try to convince the rest of my family to leave me alone and its very hard. JWD is a great scource of help. Thank you to all my new family on the forum and stick with your decision 'surfing' and dont get bullied by them.
